Goal:
600 pastors with their own copy of the Word of God
“Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ”. Romans 10:17
After decades of war and deprivation, hundreds of village pastors do not own a copy of the Bible. The Bible is their most basic tool to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have not heard, and in order to grow the faith of those who believe. These pastors will sometimes find someone with a Bible in order to handcopy passages that they can teach to others. Others have been known to split one Bible in half and share it back and forth the Old and New Testaments. Yet others resort to the doubtful New World Translation (Jehovah’s Witness) which seem to be in great supply. Bibles for Village Pastors aims to fill the gap by providing language appropriate Bibles for pastors who don’t have one.
In the past couple of years, Glory Honor Africa has already given out 1,300 copies of the Bibles. It is getting harder and harder to find Bibles for sale. We have agreed with the Congolese Bible Society to publish 15,000 copies of the Bible in the various regional languages and import them to Congo. This huge undertaking will cost approximately $210,000. Our goal is to raise these funds in 2023 and 2024 so that we can assure that every pastor has a copy of God’s Word.
Project Cost: $210,000
